Article Snippet: A number of these capillaries and some square outer capillaries (1D 1.0 mm, Vitrotubes, CM Scientific Ltd.) were hydrophobized by plasma cleaning for 60 s and immersion in a solution of 1% v/v 1,2‐dimethyloctadecyl‐3‐aminopropylsilane (DMOAP, 42% in methanol, Sigma Aldrich) in water for 15 min with gentle shaking before being thoroughly rinsed with MilliQ water (resistivity 18.2 MΩ cm) and dried in an oven at 105 °C overnight.
